Attorney for councilors says GMA is "the UDI´s cash cow"

SANTIAGO.- Alejandro Chaparro, the attorney representing some of the municipal councilors for Viña del Mar, Huechuraba, Recoleta and Renca, has called the Advanced Municipal Management company known as the GMA, “the UDI´s cash cow”.

“This is about a product developed by this company, GMA, that is oversold and overvalued, jeopardizing the treasury, which is a very serious matter”, stated Chaparro. 

During an interview with Radio ADN, Chaparro stated that GMA has allowed political operators to easily intervene in various campaigns.

The attorney added that, according to investigations being carried out by the General Comptroller’s Office of the Republic, “we can reasonably assume that operators took these same actions in Viña del Mar, Huechuraba, and Estación Central”.

Nevertheless, concerning the latter, Mayor Gustavo Hasbún realized during the middle of the contract period that the service was useless and ended the contractual relationship with the company.
