SANTIAGO.- Two ATM cash machine robberies simultaneously took place at approximately 3:00AM this morning at two separate banks located in downtown Santiago.

The first incident occurred at a BCI bank located at the intersection of streets 10 de Julio and San Diego where the assailants took the cash dispenser and fled the scene after pulling the machine from its foundation using an automobile.

Meanwhile, at the address of 373 Portugal, an automatic cash machine belonging to the Banco de Chile was stolen from inside the establishment; although this time the perpetrators may have used a blow torch to take the machine.

According to police, LABOCAR officials arrived at the scenes of the crimes to investigate.  Nevertheless, law enforcement has still not made any arrests.
